It is often said that money makes the world go round but connecting people in the right place, at the right time for the right reason is what really makes the difference . At Capewells Ltd, the focus is on bringing people together. Whether it is building a trade association and making those voices heard or connecting businesses which need each other’s products and services, Capewells Ltd makes networks - work!
Capewells Ltd is a new specialist consultancy, established in April 2012 by Claire Ward. It offers clients access to Claire's knowledge, networks and experience.
Claire has built a wide network and knowledge within the independent retail pharmacy sector in her role as CEO of the Independent Pharmacy Federation. In this role, Claire has reorganised this trade association for independent pharmacy contractors and provides a strong representation and policy voice for members to key decision makers within the sector.
Claire's previous experience includes four years as the parliamentary private secretary in the Department of Health supporting ministerial health teams to deliver new laws and policies.
Anti corruption, ethical business and the Bribery Act 2010
As a former solicitor, Claire is well qualified to understand the legal challenges surrounding businesses. Particularly relevant is her previous role as justice minister during which time she took the Bribery Act through Parliament. This new legislation has become the gold standard, setting high expectations on how companies should do business, especially in overseas markets.
We can provide advice on what you need to know about the Bribery Act 2010 and how it affects your business. Working in partnership with Interchange Solutions, we can help you meet those high standards, and conduct risk audits, implement training programmes and create a more ethical environment in which to do business.
Promoting UK business abroad
By using Claire's wide business network both in the UK and abroad, we are keen to support UK businesses to develop opportunities within international markets. Claire has a particular interest in the generic drug market and in developing links with potential distributors overseas.
After 13 years as a British Member of Parliament and five years as a government minister, Claire understands the workings of parliament and Whitehall and can help you to navigate your way through this challenging environment.
Organising how and when you are going to say something can often be as important as what you say. So we can help you to organise the right event with the right people. We are experienced in events such as dinners, fundraisers, launches and conferences.
